As part of the 11th Festival of Voice, which is taking place in Belfast this year instead of the Festival’s home in Glenarm, we are delighted to be able to bring a wonderful, live event, ‘Puccini and a Pint’ to the fabulous surroundings of The Orpheus Ballroom on Hill St in Belfast – find it above the Harp Bar on Hill St.
Watch sopranos Mary McCabe and Gemma Prince and tenor Daryl Simpson perform favourite arias by Puccini, including ‘Sola perduta abandonata’ from Manon Lescaut, ‘Nessun Dorma’ from Turandot, ‘O mio babbino caro’ from Gianni Schicchi and ‘E lucevan le stelle’ from Tosca, accompanied by pianist Frasier Hickland.
