Fiona McIlroy

Fiona is a Belfast based mezzo-soprano who graduated from Queen’s University with a BMus (Hons). She was the conductor of two student choirs in Queen’s University and has been a member of Gaudeamus for the past 7 years singing in various concerts throughout the years. She is currently a music tutor, teaching classical singing, music theatre and piano.

Fiona has been a member of NI Opera’s Chorus Development Programme since 2022, participating in Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’ and Puccini’s ‘Tosca’. She is excited to continue with her role as a chorus member in this year’s production of Tchaikovsky’s ‘Eugene Onégin’.
