Niall McKeever joins the creative team for NI Opera’s new production of Follies.
Northern Ireland Opera is delighted to announce Set Designer Niall McKeever as the latest member of the creative team who will be bringing Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman’s Follies to the Grand Opera House stage this September, led by NI Opera’s Artistic Director, Cameron Menzies.
Niall is an Irish scenographer and visual artist based in London, working across performance, film, ‘painting and collage. He recently made his West End debut as Associate Set Designer for Waiting for Godot at Theatre Royal Haymarket. Upcoming theatre includes Making History (Everyman Theatre, Cork); The Brightening Air (The Old Vic).
He has worked with Northern Ireland Opera on recent production of Eugene Onégin, Tosca and La Traviata at the Grand Opera House and was nominated for Best Set Design at The Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards for his work on our award-winning production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into The Woods at the Lyric Theatre in 2022 and His Majesty’s Theatre, Perth in 2023.
