In partnership with First Church, Belfast, as part of their annual Summer Recital Series, Northern Ireland Opera presents two free lunchtime concerts in this historic church in Belfast’s city centre.
This is the 30th year of the First Church’s Summer Recital Series which runs every Wednesday at 1.15pm throughout July and August, with a free concert showcasing musicians from across the island of Ireland.
No booking necessary, free seating – doors open at 1pm with the concert beginning at 1.15pm each week.
Northern Ireland Opera will be performing on July 24th and 7th August.
- 24th July: Mélange of Mezzos, with Jenny Bourke, Naomi Cantley and Anna-Helena Maclachlan with pianist Tristan Russcher
- 7th August: Arias and Duets with soprano Petra Wells and tenor Desmond Havlin with pianist Ryan Greer
There will be free recitals in First Church Belfast featuring other classical artists every Wednesday at 1.15pm through July and August:

- 14 August – David Kennedy (baritone) and Jong-Sun Woo (piano)
- 21 August – William Curran (clarinet) and Justine Gormley (piano)
- 28 August – Royal Irish Academy of Music String Quartet
