Ioana Constantin Pipelea

Soprano Ioana Constantin Pipelea is the winner of the Gerard Arnhold Award 2017 (Wexford Festival Opera), winner of the Gaiety Theatre Bursary (RIAM), 2nd Prize winner (Veronica Dunne Dramatic Cup Feis Ceoil, Dublin), 1st Prize Lieder Cup RIAM, Most Promising Singer Award at the Irene Sandford Competition RIAM, selected for the final rounds in the International Singing Competition Bordeaux Médoc Lyrique 2018 (Opéra National de Bordeaux, France) and the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition, Dublin 2019.

Operatic roles performed by Ioana are: Pamina -Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, RIAM opera briefs), Norina- Donizetti’s Don Pasquale (Wexford Festival Opera- 1 perf.), Michelina in Il bravo by Mercadante (WFO), Fenitchka in Alfano’s Risurrezione (WFO); at RIAM: Vixen (Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen), Cupid (Handel’s Semele), Emmie (Britten’s Albert Herring), Clorinda (Monteverdi’s Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda). In the vocal symphonic genre Ioana sang the soprano solo in Mahler’s 4th Symphony (Hibernian Orchestra, National Concert Hall Dublin), in Handel’s Messiah (Irish Baroque Orchestra), RTÉ NSO soloist, BBC Radio soloist with Ulster Orchestra.,
