Cara Rose

Cara-Rose is a 21-year-old soprano from Armagh. She is entering her fourth year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she studies under Jane Irwin and Jessica Leary. In 2025, she completed a semester abroad at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, studying with Suzy Johnson.

2026 performances include ‘Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande’ with RCS Chamber Choir and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in March and RCS Opera Scenes, performing as Elettra’s servant/chorus. She placed 3rd in RCS Scottish Singing Competition finals November 2025. Cara-Rose has taken part in workshops with Dunedin Consort and was a member of the 24/25 Sestina Early Music programme. Cara-Rose was awarded the William Lauder Scholarship at the 2025 Charles Wood Festival, and a finalist at the 2026 International Song Competition.

She will be performing in Cadogan Hall in November in ‘Don Carlos’ – a concert alongside selected singers from RCS.
