Chris Kane

Chris is a Belfast based actor-musician, and music graduate from the University of Edinburgh. He initially studied classical singing but expanded his horizons to musical theatre, folk, and other contemporary genres. In his final year, he was awarded the Andrew Bequest Prize in performance, scoring highest in his cohort for his recital ‘Love in Troubled Times’.

While at Edinburgh, Chris enjoyed busking and performing in fi ve-star productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with roles including George Seurat (Sunday in the Park with George), Harry (Company), and Owen (Translations). He also sang with the Edinburgh University Singers, performing with the choir both in Edinburgh and internationally.

Back home in Belfast, Chris has appeared in Northern Ireland Opera’s Out to Lunch Festival at The Black Box. Other performances include The Music Box at the Waterfront Hall and Go the Distance at the Ulster Hall.
