Cicely Hé

Cicely Hé, mezzo-soprano from China, graduated from the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Susan Waters and Valentin Lanzrein. She garnered First Prizes in the Peacock Singing Competition and Chow’s Award, along with an impressive 2nd Prize at the Hong Kong International Vocal Competition. Her favourite roles includes Dido(Dido and Aeneas), Cherubino(Le Nozze di Figaro), and Isabella(L’italiana in Algeri). In China, she enriches the music scene as a Vocal Teacher at Aidi International School, nurturing young talents, while captivating audiences as a versatile concert singer at the Durian Classic.

Cicely embarks on an exciting chapter in Belfast, Northern Ireland, embracing the city’s rich heritage, singing with Northern Ireland Opera, collaborating with talented musicians, and immersing herself in the vibrant music scene. With her captivating vocals and unique concertina skills, she hopes to blend classical and folk music from diverse cultures, to offer a distinctive and memorable experience to the local audiences.
