Conor Foster
Conor graduated in 2022 from Clare College, Cambridge with a BA in Russian, Spanish and Linguistics and sang in the well-renowned college choir. At university he toured with the choir to Canada, the USA, Mexico, Spain, Iceland and annually to the Netherlands at Christmas. During term the choir sings Evensong three times per week. Clare’s albums are recorded and produced by John Rutter who founded the mixed voice choir in 1972, and Conor was fortunate enough to perform the composer’s Requiem under him. Conor’s concert highlights include singing Britten’s War Requiem and Mahler’s 2nd Symphony in King’s College Chapel with the university orchestra, and the Christmas Oratorio, the Matthew Passion and the Messiah with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. A keen flautist, Conor’s highlights include playing principal in Scheherazade and Britten’s Young Person’s Guide with the Clare Orchestra.
Now back home in Belfast, Conor sings at St. John’s, Malone and has recently sung the Bass arias of the John Passion in St. George’s. Aside from singing, Conor teaches flute in the City of Belfast School of Music and plays occasionally with the Studio Symphony Orchestra.
