Darren is a versatile musician, teacher, composer, and Trinity examiner from Belfast. Darren has taught hundreds of students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to diploma level, and also enjoys teaching those who don’t wish to sit exams. Having been involved in many events, including radio and television broadcasts, Darren enjoys collaborating with musicians within many stylistic genres, from opera and musical theatre to jazz, cabaret, pop, classical, and high art repertoire. Darren has composed and arranged Christmas books for young pianists and recently released an album of newly imagined arrangements of Irish folk songs alongside original compositions, called “Belfast Heart.”
