Euan McDonald

Scottish tenor, Euan McDonald is currently in his last year of his Masters in Vocal Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the guidance of Scott Johnson. Euan is generously supported by The Countess of Munster Musical Trust, The Sir James Caird Scholarship Trust and the RCS Scholarship fund.

Last year Euan made his role debut as Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with Weimar Lyric Opera Studio and performed as a tenor soloist in Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle in the Edinburgh International Festival ‘Exploring Rossini’ project.

He also became a Samling Artist and worked with Sir James MacMillan in his mentoring programme. In 2023/24 Euan was a Dunedin Bridging the Gap Young Artist and one of Karen Cargill’s Associate Artists. Within the RCS, Euan was the winner of the Elgar Spedding Memorial Lieder Prize and the Hugh S Roberton Prize for Scottish Singing.

Euan’s future engagements include: Young Artist at the Leeds Lieder Music Festival and Young Artist at the Waterperry Opera Festival.
