Gabriel Seawright
Gabriel Seawright is a Tenor from Bangor, Northern Ireland, who studied with Peter Wilson as the Baroness De Turckheim Scholar at the Royal Northern College of Music.
A keen singer of the English language, his operatic performances are not limited to roles such as Henry Crawford – Mansfield Park (Byre Opera, RNCM Opera), Bill – Flight (RNCM Opera), Schoolmaster – Cunning Little Vixen (Longborough Festival Opera, RNCM Opera), Lord Lechery and Celestial Messenger – A Pilgrims Progress (British Youth Opera), Mr Webster – The Master (Wexford Festival Opera). Other performances include First Armed Man – Die Zauberflöte (Longborough Festival Opera), Satirino – La Calisto (Longborough Festival Opera) and Yvan – L’Aube Rouge (Wexford Festival Opera). For NI Opera he has appeared as Tenor Soloist in multiple events, as well as appearing as part of the ensemble in La Traviata and Tosca.
In the oratorio repertoire, Gabriel has performed as Soloist for Britten’s St Nicolas, Handel’s Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Haydn’s Creation, Bach’s B Minor Mass and St John Passion and Mozart’s Requiem across cathedrals and churches in the North of England.
