Joanne Quigley McParland

Joanne comes from Camlough, Co. Armagh. She studied at The RNCM and the RCM in Toronto. She has toured the world as a principal player with the English Chamber Orchestra and The Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and has appeared as guest leader of The BBCSSO, The RSNO, The Ulster Orchestra, NSO of Ireland and the RTE Concert Orchestra. She also performs regularly with John Wilson’s Sinfonia of London. Joanne is Artistic Director of The Fews Ensemble and Newry Chamber Music and is on the faculty at the RIAM in Dublin. Away from the violin she loves to cook and is on the Scoil Rince de Barra Adult Irish dance team appearing at the Ulster Championships in November 2025!
Joanne is thrilled to lead the orchestra of NI Opera for ‘Follies’.
