Marcella Walsh

Award winning Belfast Soprano Marcella Walsh graduated from QUB with a BMus. and RIAM with PGDipMus. followed by MMus. in Operatic Performance, under the tutelage of renowned soprano Dr. Veronica Dunne. Marcella received instruction at English National Opera, The Royal Opera House, Queen Elisabeth’s Music Chapel, Belgium, Boston Conservatoire and De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam.

Masterclass participation includes Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Sir Thomas Allen. An inaugural young artist with Northern Ireland Opera and Opera Theatre Company, Marcella has performed numerous solo operatic roles with companies including Scottish Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, Opera Fringe, Lyric Opera and Montalto Musica. She has been a member of the NI Opera Chorus since 2022, performing in ‘La Traviata’ ‘Tosca’ and in ‘Nobody/Somebody’ and will be part of the NI Opera Chorus for ‘Eugene Onégin’.
