Maria Meagher

Maria Meagher is 21 years old and a final year Music Performance Student at Queen’s University Belfast. Maria has achieved a Diploma in Classical Singing, with Distinction, from the London College of Music and is a local singing teacher in Newry.

Maria was a member of the National Youth Choir of Northern Ireland and has progressed onto working as a member of their welfare staff at their previous Junior Choir summer course. Maria has performed in many local feisanna competitions throughout Ireland and enjoys building on her experience. Maria is currently working on Handel’s ‘Theodora’ as part of her studies with Queen’s University and enjoys getting to learn about the context of the opera and the different roles within it. Maria is excited to join Ni Opera and continue her musical journey!
