MICHAEL CURRAN-DORSANO

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Michael is a Belfast based actor who trained at The Juilliard School (NYC) and went on to work for 10 years in the USA. Highlights include 5 seasons recurring on The Last Ship as Lt. Gator (HBO/Amazon), leads at regional theatres such as The Guthrie Theater and Rep. Theater of St. Louis, and over a dozen audiobooks with Harper Collins and Scholastic, including NYT’s Bestsellers Pax and Pax Journey Home, for which he won the Audiofile Earphones Award (2016, 2021).

Since earning his MA in Writing at NUI Galway, he’s performed both in Ireland and in continental Europe. Recent credits include Richard III (Lyric Theatre), Granny Jackson’s Dead (Big Telly), The Worst Cafe In The World (Big Telly), Galaxy Dance (BBC3), Tuesday Traders (Big Bay Entertainment) and leads in NYTV Festival’s“Best International Pilot” Compound Fractures, and the upcoming The Man Who Saved The Internet With A Sunflower, winner of the Audience Choice Award at Dances With Films ’24.
