Stephen Rusk
Northern Irish tenor Stephen Rusk has been singing since he was a boy and formally trained as a pianist and organist, studying at Queen’s University, Belfast.
Since the pandemic, alongside a career as a public servant, he has renewed his love for singing, studying with acclaimed soprano, Rebekah Coffey. He has since performed in a number of choral ensembles, including the choir of St Anne’s Cathedral under Matthew Owens and the Belfast Philharmonic Choir directed by James Grossmith.
Stephen is passionate about opera and sang in the chorus of Northern Ireland Opera’s recent productions of Tosca and The Juniper Tree. He joins the company’s Chorus Development Programme in 2024 and looks forward to performing in NI Opera’s forthcoming production of Eugene Onegin.
