Susan Shepherd
Susan Shepherd is a soprano whose recent engagements include Soprano 1 Soloist in Mozart’s Mass in C Minor (The Cumbria Singers), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas) and Soprano Soloist in Bach’s St John Passion, both with The Ulster Consort. Earlier roles include Annina (La Traviata, cover) and chorus jobs (Eugene Onegin, La Traviata, La Boheme, Turandot, Macbeth & The Flying Dutchman) with Northern Ireland Opera.
She has appeared at leading venues including, in London, The Royal Festival Hall and Westminster Abbey, and The Waterfront Hall, The Ulster Hall, The Grand Opera House and the SSE Arena in Belfast. On the concert platform, her repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Jenkins’ One World and Vivaldi Gloria.
Susan is also a richly experienced ensemble singer, performing and recording new commissions as well as long-established choral repertoire. She teaches singing at her home studio and in 3 of Northern Ireland’s top Grammar schools.
