Susan Shepherd

Award-winning and highly versatile Carrickfergus soprano Susan Shepherd is a well respected and much sought-after singing teacher and performer. A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Susan holds a First Class Honours and a Masters in Music. She moved on to study Vocal Pedagogy at the Voice Study Centre with Jenevora Williams where she gained a PGCert with Distinction, and has been running her busy private teaching practice for over a decade, teaching in schools and in her home studio.

In addition to solo work, Susan has extensive experience in professional choral singing, currently holding Soprano positions in The Ulster Consort, Belfast Cathedral Choir and Voices of Ireland. She has previously performed with NI Opera in productions including The Flying Dutchman, Macbeth, Turandot, La Bohème and La Traviata and has been a member of the NI Opera Chorus programme since 2022.
