Come and see artists from Northern Ireland Opera in action this summer at a whole range of free concerts and pop-up events. No need to book – just turn up and enjoy the performance!
- 27 July, 12 to 1pm – ‘Springtime, Summertime and Mischief’ at the Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewart with soprano Petra Wells, mezzo Jenny Bourke and pianist Frasier Hickland.
- 27 July, 12.30 to 1.30pm – Free creative workshops for children aged 8-11 with NI Opera facilitators as part of the Sailortown Festival in St Joseph’s Church, Sailortown.
- 29 July, 12.30 to 2pm – Free performance at Bankmore Square, Belfast with soprano Susan Shepherd, tenor Desmond Havlin and pianist Frasier Hickland
- 7 August, 1.15 to 2pm – Free performance as part of the Summer Recitals Series at First Church, Rosemary St, Belfast with soprano Petra Wells and tenor Desmond Havlin and pianist Ryan Greer
- 23 August, 8pm: Free BBC Radio 3 Recital in St Patrick’s Church, Glenarm with tenor Liam Bonthrone and pianist Michael Pandya. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance via BBC Shows and Audiences – ticket draw now closed
- 24 August, 8pm: Free BBC Radio 3 Recital in St Patrick’s Church, Glenarm, with baritone Ben McAteer and pianist Michael Pandya. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance via BBC Shows and Audiences – ticket draw now closed
- 25 August 3pm: Free BBC Radio 3 Recital in St Patrick’s Church, Glenarm, with mezzo-soprano Niamh O’Sullivan and pianist Michael Pandya. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance via BBC Shows and Audiences – ticket draw now closed.
- 25 August, 12 to 1pm – Free performance at the SoundYard, Maritime Mile, Belfast featuring members of the NI Opera Chorus.
