We are thrilled that our production of 'Eugene Onégin' directed by @cameronmenziesdirector has been selected as number three in the best classical concerts and operas of the year by Fiona Maddocks for The Observer for 2024 - thank you! Huge thanks to everyone who brought this fabulous opera to life on stage at @gohbelfast , from our brilliant artists, creatives and technicians on and off stage, the Northern Ireland Opera Chorus, and the Orchestra of Northern Ireland Opera conducted by @dominic_limburg. Thank you also to our wonderful audiences with over 4000 people seeing the production across the four performances and our community dress rehearsal. We are so proud to have been able to showcase the incredible talent we have here in Northern Ireland in this selection from across the whole of the UK this year. The Northern Ireland Opera Chorus will be performing at a fundraising evening in @waterfront_ulster_hall for Sólás on February 15 at 6.30pm. Established in 2009, Sólás is a special needs charity which supports children and young people with a broad range of additional needs including Autism. They are based in South Belfast; however, their work extends across Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Opera Chorus will be performing a fifteen minute set alongside @hardrainse , M’ANAM, @ulsterconsort and the Cross Border Youth Orchestra.
